Mount Beauty Local Wineries

There are four wineries in the Mount Beauty area. Three of the
wineries operate a cellar door throughout most of the year. Two of these offer
excellent cafes where you can combine your tasting with an enjoyable meal, or a
platter and the other offers the availability of a platter with your tasting.
Annapurna Estate

Just 2km down Simmonds Creek Road from the centre of Mount
Beauty, this winery is a must do visit. Not just for the tasting but for the
great location, scenery and atmosphere. Put som
e time aside during your
visit to Mount Beauty to enjoy the views of the West Kiewa Valley while you
taste the wines. Better still enjoy your tasting over a meal or a platter and
finish off with a coffee.
Cellar door: Simmonds Creek Road Tawonga South. I
f you have
bicycles with you a short ride and convenient downhill return after lunch.

Ceccanti Kiewa Valley Wines

A must visit winery and a must visit cafe. You could stop off at
this winery on the way to or from Mount Beauty. However located
only 20km along
the Kiewa Valley Highway and then 2.5km along Bay Creek Lane. This winery with
excellent food deserves its own visit from Mount Beauty. Avail yourself of the
opportunity for a chat with the winemaker who usually does the tastings. The set-up is not as
spectacular as Annapurna, but the food makes up for the more basic layout.
Alt
hough
it is only a 15-20min drive from Mount Beauty, we suggest that you make
a reservation if you plan to eat at the cafe. The small cafe can book out on
popular days.
Cellar door: Bay Creek Lane, Mongans Bridge. It is 20km along
the Kiewa Valley Hwy from Mount Beauty. The
turnoff is on the right at the bottom of the hill just after
the Christian Centre.

Bogong Estate
A small winery growing only pinot noir. Again very close to your
accommodation at Kiewa View. Just 2km via the back way along Damms Road, off
Valley Ave opposite McKay St. You can cycle the round trip by taking the bike
path to Tawonga, and then down Mountain Creek Road to Damms Road, and return
along Damms Road. If you want it nice and flat both ways, take the Damms Road
short route both ways. Th
is winery has a basic but cosy tasting area. We recommend
that you include this on your schedule and allow time for an intimate chat with
the wine maker over one of their excellent platters.
Cellar door: Corner of Damms Rd & Mountain Creek Rd Mount Beauty
